UNDERFLOOR INSULATION

Underfloor Insulation is as it sounds, insulation for under your suspended floor. This is installed by adding am insulating material beneath the floorboards which help's reduce the amount of heat escaping through the floor into the void below. It is estimated that around 15% of a properties heat is lost through the floor. With the installation of insulation it also helps to prevents draughts through the floorboards.

• You will be helping protect the environment and contributing to the UK’s emissions target, by improving your energy efficiency.
• A successful install will help reduce any draughts you may have from your floorboards.
• Any damp and mould will be removed and prevented.

Floor insulation is well worth doing when combined with other types of insulation. You can make a yearly heating bill saving of up to £65, which will only increase with energy bills on the increase.

This measure can be fitted and fully funded under the Government Grant Scheme (ECO4).*

While it can vary depending on the size of the property, on average the process takes a few hours to complete, including clearing up afterwards. 

Here at Eco Save we primarily use SWIP Omni Fit Rolls when we install into your property. Earth Wool Omni Fit Roll are made from glass mineral wool and formed into rolls which are lightweight, flexible, resilient and non-combustible. Where applicable, we may install other materials to your property such as GTi Direct CosiFloor.
